Classic Builder Gel Diamond
Diamond Gel is a light-curing polymer material that, thanks to its high strength, allows for significant lengthening of the nail plate. It contains photoinitiators that activate the polymerization process when the material is cured under UV light of a specific wavelength.
Characteristics:
• Acid-free
• Shock absorbing – does not splinter on impact
• Medium viscosity
• Medium pigmentation – covers the free edge of the nail
• Suitable for the “build-up without filing” technique
• Suitable for extensions with Dual Forms (upper templates)
• No burning in the lamp
• Becomes thicker in cold and more fluid in warm
• Thixotropic – becomes more fluid when moved with the brush
• Can be heated additionally to reduce viscosity
• Stable at a layer thickness of 1 mm; at less, it can give slightly without compromising the hold
• No shrinkage, good bow hold
• Requires a rubber base as a base
• Curing at a wavelength of 365–405 nm
• Suitable for UV/LED lamps with 36–48 W power
• Recommended layer thickness: 0.5 mm at the free edge / 1 mm in the apex
• Full curing in 120 seconds
METHOD OF APPLICATION
REINFORCEMENT
1. Removing the old material.
2. Do not file the nail shape or leave about 2 mm of length, which will be removed after balancing.
3. Lightly roughen the surface with a 220-grit file without applying too much pressure to lift the nail layers, or use a 100-grit buffer.
4. Perform a manicure.
5. When using removers, wash your hands with soap after use.
6. Degrease the nail with Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Apply two coats, using four cellulose pads (one pad for five fingers).
• First pass: Wipe the nail surface.
• Second pass: Wrap a cellulose pad around an orangewood stick and clean the area around the cuticle and into the nail fold.
7. Primer is optional. If the base has sufficient acidity, it is not necessary.
8. Apply the LUNAmoon Rubber Base, ideally with a flat gel brush. Use a massaging motion. Apply to all nail folds and cure for 60 seconds under the lamp.
9. Remove the condensation layer.
10. Apply a build-up. When applying gel, leave a gap of 0.5–1 mm from the cuticle. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
11. After leveling, file the shape. This is necessary to create a thickness at the free edge that will hold the nail in place.
12. If the natural nail was thin, it can curl. Therefore, be sure to file 1 mm of the natural nail from the bottom. This prevents detachment. If the material is hard and the natural nail is very soft, the nail will otherwise begin to detach from the material at the free edge.
13. After filing, remove the sweat layer and cover with colored varnish (gel varnish).
14. Seal with top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing, as this may cause the shine to disappear.
